I am a “woman w purpose.”  I am a woman of faith, and for years I have told others as a form of encouragement that their gifts were making room for them.  Some recent events in my life caused me to take my own advice. I felt convicted and immediately decided to trust and believe in myself and JUMP.  My parachute opened, and God allowed me to soar, and today I am living out my promises from God.  So I say never be afraid to JUMP while believing in yourself.  I am better today because I trusted my gifts, and I JUMPED at an opportunity to be something more significant!

I have long been in a position to do as the Lord has proposed me to do. My relationship with Christ is always centered on everything I do and touch. My favorite scripture sums up this entire intro, “there are many plans in a man’s heart, but it’s the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”

She is the wife of Streater Davis, the mother of Andre Smith a.k.a “L.A.” and Kristal Davis, and the grandmother "GEE GEE" of Erin Smith, Carter James, Aubree , and August Smith.

Deacon Davis was reared in the Eastern United Methodist Church, where she served for 25 years.  Although singing was her 1st gift, God was cultivating other gifts in her.  In 1992 God transitioned her to the New Antioch Baptist Church, under the leadership of Bishop Orlando A. Wilson.

She is known for her wisdom and easy-going spirit.  She has a way of capturing the hearts of young and old alike.  Her passion and love for God and His people are astounding.  When you ask Deacon Davis what drives her in God’s kingdom, her reply is, “Really, Only What You Do for Christ Will Last.”  She is saved, sanctified, filled with the Holy Ghost, and determined Not to turn God lose till He blesses her….”
