BIO OF BISHOP WILSON

Bio of our dedicated Angel of the House.  Leading souls to Christ and accomplishing the Will of the Lord.

Orlando Allen Wilson

Pastor/Teacher

Bishop Orlando A. Wilson will celebrate 40 preaching years in October of 2023.  He is a true servant of God and a lover of the Word of God. He has a prophetic and apostolic anointing symbolic of a contemporary Moses. He is passionate and tenacious in his assignment to help people move out of bondage associated with religiosity and into the love and liberty that is found in Jesus Christ as expressed in an intimate relationship, first with God, then with self and others. He is embraced in the spiritual and civic community as a truly anointed vessel of God. He serves as Pastor of both Resurrection Fellowship Church in Shrewsbury, PA, and New Antioch Church in Baltimore, MD. Bishop Wilson is academically accomplished in many spiritual, cultural, and social fields. He received his Bachelor of History and Political Science from Virginia Union University in 1988. He was appointed Pastor of the New Antioch Church on December 15, 1988, and in 1991, completed his Master of Divinity at Union Theological Seminary in New York. He then earned his Doctor of Ministry from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, in 1995. He was consecrated and installed as Bishop at the New Antioch Church in 2000. His capacity and love of learning continue to translate into other study areas. He went on to earn a Master's in Pastoral Counseling in 2001 from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland, in 2010, and he received his Doctor of Divinity from Saint Thomas Christian College in Jacksonville, Florida, and is completing a Doctor of Psychology at Walden University in Baltimore, Maryland. He has a Doctorate in Worship and Psychology at the Robert Webber Institute of Worship Studies, Jacksonville, FL. His exceptional leadership and academic accomplishments earned him the privilege and opportunity to participate in the Harvard School of Divinity Summer Leadership Institute in 2002 and the Summer Theology Certificate Program at Oxford University in London, England in 2002. Bishop Wilson's ministry to people reaches far beyond the boundaries of the New Antioch Church. God's vision for him includes the progression of the Black community and humanity. His genuine love and concern for people, especially children, and his diverse talents are visible in his interaction with the community on action programs and projects. He has served as Chaplain for the Baltimore City and County Police Departments and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and has served as a Board member for several community non-profit organizations. He has previously served as an instructor and cultivated minds at Morgan State University in the Religious Studies Department. Bishop Wilson understands that we are called to “one Lord, on faith, one baptism” thus he also fellowships and partners with other church-based organizations in obedience to his spiritual assignment to disassemble barriers that disjoint the body of Christ.
